Soil Remediation

With the increase in oil well drilling, large amounts of oil-based mud, water-based mud, and sulfonated mud are deposited in the land surrounding the oil fields resulting in the contamination of soil. With environmental regulations getting stricter every year, contamination of soil around oil fields is a major concern for oil and gas companies warranting innovative techniques in the treatment of contaminated soil.

Our company provides pioneering and innovative solutions that extract maximum value from soil which ensure all valuable elements, such as hydrocarbons) are recovered and all contaminants are removed. Our pioneer solutions for the treatment of contaminated soil include:

In the process of oil exploitation, transportation, loading and unloading, processing and use, pollution caused by oil spills and discharge mainly occurs in oceans, soils and water bodies.

Soil Remediation by Hot Washing

TRI-COLOR hot water washing process is adopted as our core technology for oil contaminated soil remediation. The process flow is simple, with low operating costs, and low one-time investment. Our whole set of equipment is skidded, integrated, and movable, which is especially suitable for field operation in oil fields. Our technical team has developed specific formulations for different properties of soil, such as light TPH, high TPH, and so on. Applicable efficiency achieves 100% reliability. We can carry out projects that can fully meet the technical indicators of oilfield oil contaminated soil remediation.

Soil Bioremediation

Bioremediation is a biological degrading process for the treatment of contaminated soils, groundwater, and sediments, relying on microorganisms including bacteria and/or fungi to use the contaminant as a food source with resulting degradation of the contaminant. Bioremediation is one of the most economical remedial techniques presently available for treating most organic fuel-based contaminants such as coal tars and liquors, petroleum, and other carcinogenic hydrocarbons such as benzene and naphthalene, and some inorganics. Hydrocarbon bioremediation and soil bioremediation are the most common services we provide of this type.

Consolidation of Soil

In cases where remediation of soil is not the goal, our innovative solution involves the recycling of soil to build roads in and around the oilfield lands. Oilfield lands are normally located in remote areas, and consolidation of soil (oil content less than 5%) to build roads can greatly reduce transportation and road-building costs.

The process of consolidation of soil includes three main steps:

  1. Mixing of contaminated soil with concrete
  2. Spraying with consolidation agent
  3. Compression, hardening, and curing of soil
